Join other mentors and district liaisons to explore effective strategies for facilitating reflective conversations that lead to improvements in identified teaching practices. Included in this one-day session will be strategies for (1) identifying evidence-based focus areas for growth, (2) engaging mentees in collaborative goal-setting, (3) collecting evidence to measure and monitor progress toward goals, and (4) structuring of feedback conversations that build mentee commitment to use agreed-upon instructional strategies. Embedded throughout is a partnership approach to the development of working relationships and use of an inquiry cycle to improve classroom practice.
This mentoring session is designed for district mentor liaisons and for them to bring one mentor teacher with them. Each person planning to attend needs to register.
