Leaders of Their Own Learning, written by Ron and his colleagues, served as the guiding text for the Powerful Conversations Network for two years. The book is augmented by a growing catalog of free videos and other useful resources. And there’s also a LOTL Companion guide with a Foreword by ABPC’s Cathy Gassenheimer.

In the book Leaders of Their Own Learning, Berger and his colleagues explore Student-Engaged Assessment as not a single practice but an approach to teaching and learning that equips and compels students to understand goals for their learning and growth, track their progress toward those goals, and take responsibility for reaching them. This requires a set of interrelated strategies and structures and a whole-school culture in which students are given the respect and responsibility to be meaningfully engaged in their own learning.

Today, along with his kind words, Ron shared a list of resources that EL Education is offering for free to teachers throughout the country. Everything on the EL website is free and open sourced. Specifically, he mentions a K-8 literacy curriculum and a Projects at Home list. For other Coronavirus response resources available through EL Education, please follow this link.

We are so thankful for Ron and his staff for this contribution! If you would like to follow EL Education for more updates and resources you can find them on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, and Linkedin.

Thank you for sharing Ron!
