Alabama Best Practices Being Shared Nationally

The Alabama Best Practices Center (ABPC), is in the national spotlight!

Phi Delta Kappan, the national professional association for educators, invited the ABPC to write an article about our work in the Kappan‘s November 2013 publication on Innovation. The article, titled, “Best Practice for Spreading Innovation: Let the Practitioners Do It,” highlights the ABPC’s work through our Superintendent Leaders Network, the Key Leaders Network and the Powerful Conversations Network, along with lessons learned along the way. One of our favorite quotes from the article is the subtitle; “An Alabama nonprofit spreads best practices, especially around around high-needs schools, by enabling practitioners to learn from each other.”

The Kappan publishers also decided to make this article one of three in the issue available to the general public, along with using the article as a key resource in a supplemental study guide used by educators across the country.
