The Alabama State Board of Education held its Biannual Retreat on Tuesday. Members discussed the development of the FY 2023 education budget and COVID-19 safety in schools. Read our key takeaways here.

> A+ College Ready News: Join us in celebrating the 2021 NCWIT Aspirations in Computing (AiC) Educator Award recipients! The award highlights the phenomenal work of informal and formal educators who encourage aspiring technologists in tech and computing. Alabama's 2021 winners are: Mary Clair Wright of Davidson High School and Tangela Crocker of Russell County High School! And a special shout out to: Ryan James, winner in North Carolina and former Alabama Computer Science teacher!
