Bentley to Announce AP Program Expansion

On Tuesday, Feb. 15, Gov. Robert Bentley and State School Superintendent Dr. Joe Morton will join with leaders from the National Math and Science Initiative, the A+ Education Partnership, and A+ College Ready, along with others from Alabama’s business and education communities to announce the expansion and continued success of the state’s Advanced Placement initiative.
The governor will detail a nearly 50 percent expansion this year in the number of Alabama high schools selected to participate in the A+ College Ready Advanced Placement Training and Incentive Program, and discuss the accomplishments to date of the initiative, which was implemented with support from the National Math and Science Initiative in 2008.
A+ College Ready is a division of the A+ Education Partnership and was created with funding from the National Math and Science Initiative to implement a proven Advanced Placement training and incentive initiative in public schools throughout Alabama.
