We have a gift for you: A new and improved website!
If you haven’t visited our website lately, we encourage you to come browse around. We’ve challenged ourselves to build an improved and streamlined online experience for you, our supporters, and the education community.
The first major change makes our website more efficient. Now, you’ll only need to remember one, short URL address to reach all of our bodies of work. “Aplusala.org” will connect you with our policy work, the Alabama Best Practices Center and A+ College Ready.
No worries for those creatures of habit: If you enter “bestpracticescenter.org” or “apluscollegeready.org,” you will still be directed to the new site, landing on the appropriate program’s home page.
The second major change was making the website more modern and mobile-friendly. The navigation is now more intuitive and streamlined with fewer pages to have to click through to find what you need.
The top tabs will help you easily navigate between A+ Education Partnership, A+ College Ready and the Alabama Best Practices Center. Under each of these tabs, use the menu to find whatever you need, from resources to our engaging blogs – all focused on improving teaching and learning in every Alabama public school.
The first time you visit aplusala.org, you’ll be greeted by a friendly, funny young man – a real Alabama student – from whom you’ll be hearing more in the future. “Ace Reader” hopes to represent the student voice and share with you the phenomenal learning taking place in many Alabama classrooms. He’ll also share ways you can help make all schools better for his generation of future Alabama leaders. Beginning January 2017, you can follow him on Twitter @Ace4Ala, and be among the first to know as he releases new videos for you to share.
To ensure you don’t miss timely education updates, be sure to select the “Sign-up button” to update your email. Additionally, beginning in January, our latest blogs and A+ happenings will be shared in a newly-designed, monthly e-newsletter called, The A+ Synergist – a name that represents how we all work together to power education forward. You can also get The Gist, a weekly roundup of the most important news clips from our partners around the state, country and world.
With so much change at one time, we understand there may be some learning curves. So don’t hesitate to communicate with us regularly. Send your comments, suggestions and virtual “high-fives” for the A+ team, to email@example.com. Or, call Jill West if you need help navigating the new site: 334-279-1886 ext. 207.
We hope that you find the new website more user-friendly and a bit more fun to browse. Your feedback and suggestions are welcome, because just like our students and teachers … we never stop learning!
