“Educators are equipped with the tools they need to be successful in their classroom as they leave a training event, yet still have the autonomy to shine in their own way for their students.”

— Jaici Lott, Oxford High School

Imagine a professional development experience that provides the blueprints for a fully designed, standards-aligned curriculum that lays a solid foundation for student success, reinforces a cohesive framework of effective instruction, and surrounds you with passionate, like-minded educators. That’s precisely what A+ College Ready’s E3 training offers—and it’s why English teachers across Alabama continue to return year after year.

The E3 Summer Experience offers training in seven English courses, grades six through twelve. These curricula that are carefully created by Alabama teachers, for Alabama teachers and students, support the integration of literature, grammar, and writing through thoughtfully crafted themes and guiding questions. Grounded in research-based instructional design (including Marzano’s The New Art and Science of Teaching), the A+CR curriculum provides a scaffold for deep, meaningful learning, reinforcing that excellent teaching is built with intention, precision, and purpose.

Training That Builds More Than Just Knowledge

Each grade-level curriculum is designed with spiraled standards and skills, supporting learning over time. This helps students build a strong foundation, resulting in lasting academic resilience, critical thinking, and readiness for whatever path lies ahead.

The E3 training itself is a hands-on construction site for instructional growth. Educators work hard in both student and teacher roles, experiencing content first-hand while unpacking the research-based strategies and craftsmanship behind every instructional choice in each lesson.

This two-fold approach means teachers don’t just return to their classrooms with tools—they return with the skills to use them effectively, coupled with the knowledge of why and how their instructional choices matter for student learning.

Led by master educators who know the real-world demands of today’s classrooms, E3 training essentially creates an atmosphere where teachers feel valued, capable, and ready to return to their classrooms to build their own powerful learning environments. Many leave saying the E3 training is the most transformative professional development they’ve ever experienced, and the number of returning participants year after year supports this notion.

“E3 Training and Curriculum completely transformed my classroom and my teaching.”
— Grindl Weldon, Locust Fork High School
