Matt serves as the Science Content Director for Advanced Placement. In this role, he works to create curricular resources, professional development activities, and student sessions for program participants. He loves science and works to share that love with students. Matt joined the A+ team in 2017. Before that, he taught AP Biology for over 20 years and AP Physics for over 5. He also worked at the community college and university levels for over 15 years.
Additionally, he earned Educational Specialist and Doctoral degrees from the University of Alabama. He was awarded National Board Certification in 2001, 2011, and 2021. In his free time, he enjoys kayaking, farming, and sports.
