Keenan serves as the Director of Partnerships at A+ Education Partnership, where he leads two key initiatives: the A+ Student Voices Team and the Every Child Alabama coalition. In this role, he strengthens statewide partnerships, elevates student leadership, and supports efforts to advance student‑centered education policy across Alabama.
He joined A+ in June 2024 as the Program Manager for the A+ Student Voices Team before transitioning into his current position. Prior to A+, Keenan taught middle and high school history, working with students in grades 6 through 12 and developing a deep commitment to empowering young people to advocate for their own education. His dedication to helping students succeed and become advocates for their learning remains at the heart of his work. His background in teaching and community engagement continues to shape his approach to partnership development and advocacy.
Keenan holds a bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies, with a concentration in teaching and learning, from Auburn University at Montgomery. Outside of work, he enjoys cooking, traveling, and volunteering with the March of Dimes Foundation, Future Business Leaders of America, and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc.
