
Erica Griffin serves as the AP English Content Director for A+ College Ready, where she has the opportunity to work collaboratively alongside teachers and school leaders across Alabama to strengthen instruction and instructional leadership in their classrooms and schools. Since joining the A+ team, she has guided curriculum development, designed professional learning for educators and school leaders, supported program strategy and implementation, and partnered with state and national partners to expand opportunities for Alabama students.
With more than 20 years of experience in public education, Erica has served as a classroom teacher, instructional partner, adjunct instructor, curriculum developer, and national consultant. She holds an Ed.S. in Teacher Leadership from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, an M.A. in ELA Curriculum and Instruction from the University of North Alabama, and a B.A. in English and Secondary Education from Maryville College. She recently earned an Executive Certificate in Business Leadership from Vanderbilt University’s Owen Graduate School of Management.
She is motivated and inspired every single day to help schools, administrators, and teachers assess, act, and reflect on their academic culture, pedagogical practice, and intentional systemic alignment, striving for a world-class education for every student, regardless of circumstance.
Outside of work, she enjoys taking Pilates classes, spending time at Smith Lake with her family and friends, and visiting her sons who are students at Auburn University.
