Jeff Gray, Associate Professor of Computer Science at the University of Alabama and A+ College Ready Partner, has written an excellent update about our National Science Foundation- funded Computer Science Principles project. The article published in CSTA Voice, notes that the Computer Science Principles “project will provide year-long professional development (PD) among cohorts of peer teachers”. The first Cohort of 11 Mentor/Teachers will be trained this summer toward a goal of 50 new Computer Science teachers trained over the next 3 years.
