Last week, A+ Education Partnership Policy Director Thomas Rains spoke to the Baldwin County League of Women Voters about public charter schools. In the speech, Rains outlined the basics of public charter schools, and why A+ supports their use to improve Alabama’s public education system. Click here to see the PowerPoint presentation from his speech and learn more about what public charter schools are (and aren’t).
Rains wasn’t the only person focused on charters last week. The Birmingham News wrote two articles about charters: one about the success of Atlanta’s charter schools, and another providing a broad overview of the charter school debate. Birmingham News Editor Tom Scarritt also wrote an op-ed in support of charter schools.
