A+ College Ready welcomed a new group of Advanced Placement Lead Teachers at a two day training event held in the A+ College Ready offices in early June. These math science and English AP teachers were selected by their districts to serve as mentors and coaches to the other AP and Pre AP teachers in their disciplines and to support their district AP programs in a variety of ways.
Under the guidance of A+ College Ready Content Directors Robert Summers, Ryan Reardon, Mike Kantaris, Kitty Morgan, Betsy Brooks and Regina Johnson, Lead Teachers participated in a variety of instructive sessions ranging from the general “How People Learn” seminar, to subject-specific team meetings. After a long day of in depth training, mentors and teachers relaxed Monday night with a dinner at a local restaurant in Birmingham.
