Computer Science teachers are building a community of problem solvers, one student at a time.
A diverse range of professional learning opportunities is available to equip teachers across various grade levels and subject areas with essential skills and knowledge. Thanks to funding from the Alabama State Department of Education, registration is free for all Alabama public school educators. Travel stipends may also be available, removing barriers and expanding access to high-quality learning. This year’s theme is all about building—building knowledge, building confidence, and building classrooms that prepare students for a future shaped by technology and innovation.
Great CS teachers don’t just teach syntax,” said one E3 facilitator. “They build problem-solvers, creators, and future innovators.
Big changes are coming! Computer Science will be a graduation requirement in Alabama by the 2031–2032 school year, and we’re building for it now. Through hands-on training and powerful resources, our programs empower educators to lead the charge and construct a future-ready classroom. Brick by brick, we’re preparing every student to thrive in a world driven by code and innovation. Alabama ranked 5th nationally in access, with 94% of schools offering Computer Science courses, according to the 2024 State of Computer Science Education report, further demonstrating Alabama’s commitment to Computer Science accessibility and growth.
