A+ College Ready congratulates Stephanie Hyatt, one of Alabama’s best “Laying The Foundation” trainers and AP instructors, on her recent achievements.
The University of Alabama – Huntsville has bestowed on her the distinction of being among the few that have received the “Alumni of Achievement Award.” According to the National Math & Science Initiative’s English Director, Michelle Stie-Buckles, “Stephanie has been a vocal and effective supporter of LTF in Huntsville and has served has one of our most outstanding English trainers in our LTF corps. She’s the kind of advocate we want in the field.”
According to UAH, the Alumni of Achievement Award is the “highest honor bestowed by the UAH Alumni Association. The award recognizes graduates who have distinguished themselves professionally and personally and who exemplify the high standards of UAH.”
Stephanie was also selected for “America Achieves!” a national organization which “helps communities and states leverage policy, practice, and leadership to build high-quality educational systems and prepare each young person for success in careers, college, and citizenship.” Out of thousands of applications, only one hundred were selected, and Stephanie may be the first ever selected from Alabama!
Stephanie is the Lead LTF teacher for English language arts for Huntsville City Schools, and teaches AP Language Arts at Lee High School.
