A+ College Ready Fall Workshop – Session 2 of 7

A+ College Ready’s Fall Workshop Series for teachers in grades 6 – 10 (11 in math) is designed as follow-up training for teachers implementing the course specific curriculum presented at the A+ College Ready E3 four-day summer training event. Workshops are designed to deepen teachers’ content knowledge, to expand on pedagogical skills associated with the lessons, and to strengthen implementation strategies such as differentiation, assessment, technology infusion, engaging learners, etc. This year’s workshops will be delivered in a series of virtual sessions carefully curated to meet the morphing needs of constituents of A+CR as we adapt during times of uncertainty.

Math, science, English and social studies teachers who have signed a Letter of Agreement (LOA) with A+ College Ready for the 2020-21 school year are expected to attend a minimum of four different topics in the discipline outlined in their LOA (Note: The requirements for middle school computer science will differ and will be explained in the registration information for that specific training.). All math, science, English and social studies sessions will have topics available at 4 PM and 7 PM, with the exception of one Saturday session on October 24th, with topics being offered four times throughout the day. All other sessions take place on Tuesdays between September 1 and December 1, 2020. Program school teachers’ eligibility for the associated reflection and stipend is dependent on full attendance in at least four topics and the completion of ALL training requirements, and submission of a final reflective summary of the training series.

SESSION DATES & TOPICS:

• Session 1: Tuesday, September 1 at 4PM and 7PM
• Session 2: Tuesday, September 22 at 4PM and 7PM
• Session 3: Tuesday, October 6 at 4PM and 7PM
• Session 4: Tuesday, October 20 at 4PM and 7Pm
• Session 5: Saturday, October 24 at 9AM, 11AM, 1PM, and 3PM
• Session 6: Tuesday, November 10 at 4PM and 7PM
• Session 7: Tuesday, December 1 at 4PM and 7PM *tentative

Registration for the entire series (7 session offerings) is free for teachers from A+ College Ready Program Schools (Cohorts 11, 12 , 13, pipeline, and MSTIP), $100 for teachers in A+ College Ready Partner Schools and $200 for teachers of non-affiliated schools. A purchase order or the name of your authorizing administrator will be requested as part of your registration, and the district will be invoiced after your initial registration in one of the 7 sessions to be offered.
