2019 Math Fall Workshop – Algebra I and Pre-Calculus

Math Teachers:  

Please read the following workshop options carefully and register for the ONE that is most appropriate for you.  You’ll need to register by grade level and workshop choice.

Workshop 1 (New): 

Designed for Cohort 12 Schools, new Pipeline Schools, any teacher who is in the FIRST YEAR of A+CR curriculum implementation, or any teacher that has never attended a Fall Workshop.  Content for this workshop will include implementation (grading, pacing, assessment), a deep dive into upcoming lessons, and other pertinent information.

Workshop 2 (Experienced):

Designed for Cohorts 1-11 schools or teachers who have attended the Fall Workshop previously. Content for this workshop will include half a day of content specific instruction using various technology along with a more intensive look at some of the Marzano not previously discussed and other pertinent information.

A+ College Ready’s Fall Workshop for teachers in grades 6 – pre-calculus is designed as follow-up training for teachers implementing the course specific curriculum presented at the A+ College Ready E3 four-day summer training event .  The workshop is designed to deepen teachers’ content knowledge, to expand on pedagogical skills associated with the lessons, and to strengthen implementation strategies such as differentiation, assessment, technology infusion, etc.

Attendance at this workshop is an expectation for teachers who have signed a Letter of Agreement (LOA) with A+ College Ready for the 2019-20 school year. This training is not a substitution for teachers who have not attended course specific training and access to the full set of curricular materials is not included with attendance at this training.  Program school teachers’ eligibility for the $100 stipend for completing a reflection for the fall workshop is dependent on FULL DAY ATTENDANCE during the training day.

The workshop will extend from 9:00-3:30 and lunch will be provided.  This is a ticketed event so please bring your registration ticket with you.

Registration is free for teachers from A+ College Ready Program Schools (Cohorts 9, 10, 11, 12 and pipeline). Registration for teachers in A+ College Ready Partner Schools (Cohorts 1-8) and non-affiliated schools is $150. A purchase order or the name of your authorizing administrator will be requested as part of your registration, and the district will be invoiced following the event.  If you are unsure of your school’s cohort, click here to see a listing.
