The Skillful Team Leader Institute: Launching Your Teams Toward Impact

There is a registration fee for The Skillful Team Leader Institute . Please disregard the FREE button that you see when registering. There is a cost of $600 per two-person team. Additional participants are $300 each.
Participants will earn a state approved ACLD PLU and or CEU credits

Lunch: 12:00 p.m.
End time: 3:00 p.m.
Who will benefit most from this Institute?  People who lead teacher teams (teacher leaders, coaches, department heads, grade level team leaders, content team leaders) and the people who support them (principals, administrators, curriculum directors.)  It is ideal, if 2 members of a leadership team (principal and IP) attend the first day.
What is the focus?  Start the school year off with a goal to maximize the learning and achievement of your school teams.   As team leaders, we face hurdles each day.  They can come from people we care about, cultures we are proud to work within, and oftentimes from ourselves. The leader who applies a skillful approach rooted in values, mindset, emotional intelligence and skill is able to learn from these challenges and even prevent them from occurring.  Join, Elisa MacDonald, author of The Skillful Team Leader to help you start off the year with what is needed to lead high-functioning, high-impact teams.
Participants in the Institute will:

Gain tools for big picture, whole-school strategic team planning;
Explore the four foundational tenets of a Skillful Approach to team leadership;
Learn the indicators of a high-functioning, high-impact team;
Gain powerful tools to help maximize team function and impact.

Participants should purchase and bring a copy of The Skillful Team Leader:  A Resource for Overcoming Hurdles to Professional Learning for Student Achievement (Corwin Press 2013) to the Institute.  Other materials will be provided.
Dress Code:
Be comfortable. Casual clothing is fine. You may want to bring a light jacket.
