The homework for KLN 2:
- Read chapters 2, 3, and 6 in 10 Mindframes for Visible Learning, with specific attention to the Mindframe that you selected at the first KLN meeting: Mindframe 2: I see assessment as informing my impact and next steps; Mindrame 3: I collaborate with my peers and my students about my conceptions of progress and my impact; Mindframe 6: I gave and help students understand feedback and I interpret and act on feedback given to me.
- Complete the template included in your KLN 1 learning packet on p. 13 and bring it with you to the meeting.
- Bring your KLN 1 learning packet and ppt with you, ideally in a folder or notebook
During the meeting, you’ll spend time with others who selected the same mindframe. Specifically, you’ll:
- Make personal meaning of the ‘what’ and ‘why’ of your selected mindframe.
- Identify implications for the practice of (a) central office leaders, (b) school-level administrators, (c) teachers.
- Suggest beginning steps that each role group can take to integrate selected mindframe into their daily practice
You’ll also have the opportunity to learn from others who selected a different mindframe, and together we’ll look for patterns and implications.
Time will also be allotted for planning and preparing for the next session.
