It’s nearly spring in Alabama and that means it’s time for ABPC’s Instructional Rounds, the annual series of unique professional learning “road trips” that create opportunities to share, inspire and motivate positive change and success for students.
As many hundreds of teachers and administrators will testify, Instructional Rounds offer a focused, day-long PD experience that lets participants “see what other schools are doing,” strengthen connections with forward-thinking colleagues, and take good ideas back home where you can adapt them in ways that best fit your schools’ own vision and goals.
This year, ABPC will help lead 16 Instructional Rounds scheduled across Alabama:

Each of these schools has developed a brief overview of the work they’re doing, the questions they’re pursuing, and the insights they hope to gain from colleagues who visit and participate in their Instructional Round. Download the school overviews here.
The “problems of practice” for the Rounds will vary from teacher clarity (learning targets and success criteria), to social-and-emotional learning, powerful task design, RTI, writing instruction, questioning and feedback, and much more. Whatever the focus, the day promises to be powerful and meaningful, both to visiting participants and to the school’s teachers and administrators.
HOW TO REGISTER:
If you are a member of the Powerful Conversations Network, you can attend one Instructional Round for free. Anyone else can register and participate in a Round for $75 per person. You can register for your selected Round at the ABPC Events Registration page.

“What I’m Learning from ABPC’s Instructional Rounds”
Instructional Rounds always yield such an incredible amount of learning. They give the host school good feedback on a problem of practice & they inspire participants to sharpen practices at their own school. Thank you, @al_bpc for bringing this to Alabama years ago! pic.twitter.com/aX16D6QZ4E
