Job Posting | A+ Education Partnership Director of Development

The Director of Development is responsible for planning, organizing and directing all A+ fundraising. The Director reports to the A+ President and works closely with the Board of Directors in all development efforts. The Director must embrace the mission of A+, spend time with staff, and experience A+ programming in order to fully understand and promote the work.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5 years minimum experience in professional fundraising
  • Demonstrated excellence in organizational, writing, and interpersonal skills
  • Extensive knowledge of and management of donor tracking software
  • Demonstrated success with motivation of staff and board members

Actual Job Responsibilities

  1. Develop and execute a multi-year fundraising strategy with annual
 goals
  2. Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations
  3. Oversee the identification, cultivation and solicitation of major donors
  4. Develop and maintain relationships with major donors
  5. Create and execute a strategy for a large, sustained base of individual donors
  6. Manage communications with all donors
  7. Oversee grant research, proposal writing and reporting requirements
  8. Manage the implementation of fundraising database and tracking software and oversee data entry and gift 
processing
