Participants will learn more about how to organize and plan for an Instructional Round, including the development of the problem of practice, the selection of participants and classrooms to visit, facilitating the instructional round, and identifying and supporting the “Next Level of Work.” The second day will include an Instructional Round at Oxford MS.
Participants will be asked to purchase a copy of Instructional Rounds in Education by City, Elmore, et al., and bring that copy with them to the institute.
Cost for the Institute—excluding the cost of the book, lodging and meals outside of the institute—is $75 per person (the SDE is underwriting the cost of most of this professional learning). Registration is limited to the first 40 people. It is our expectation that those who register will commit to attending the entire institute on both days.
