What can participants expect to see when they visit?
Harrand Creek Elementary School is located in Enterprise, AL. It is approximately 5 miles from Fort Rucker and we have about 58 faculty and staff members. We are continuing to grow in our understanding of learning targets, their value and purpose, as well as gaining insights into checks for understanding and how they can impact student achievement. This is our third year in the round process. All of our teachers have participated in instructional rounds and the debriefing process. For the past two years, we have keep the same instructional round team and have seen major growth in their understanding of rounds and their benefit and catalyst for growth. We hope that you witness our growth regarding student engaged assessments (Specifically, Learning Targets, outcomes, goals, etc. and checks for understanding). We are striving to move pass the novice stage into consistent implementation and referencing throughout, so students can truly gauge if they are on track to meeting the intended outcomes. In addition, we would love for you to see some of our students’ artwork and talk with our group sixth graders who man and operate a Center or Reading for our first and second graders.
